How it works

Connect to your garden hose at the base of the handle.
Unscrew the clear chamber, fill to the line with Barkmere shampoo, reattach.
Wet the coat on water only, avoiding eyes, ears and nose.
Turn the dial to foam and work along the body.
Dial back to water only for a full rinse.
Empty any leftover shampoo from the chamber when you are done.

Washing indoors

The adaptor fits rounded bath and laundry spouts from 16mm to 20mm.
Metal band with a thumb tab tightens by hand, no tools.
Use a shorter hose with female connectors at both ends for easier indoor use.
Set the tap temperature before you start, and loosen the band before removing.
Ideal for units and townhouses with no outdoor tap.

Good to know

Fits most standard Australian garden hose fittings.
Best paired with our 2 in 1 or Hypo Shampoo.
Use softer patterns and lower pressure for puppies, seniors and anxious dogs.
Empty the chamber after each bath and rinse the nozzle if you have hard water.
Store in the shade to protect the plastics.
Also handy for rinsing outdoor beds, washing the car or watering plants.

Please check the adaptor compatibility image against your bath spout before ordering. If the adaptor does not fit your spout, the SudsMate still works perfectly outdoors on a standard garden hose. As the adaptor is a complimentary add on, refunds are not available based on adaptor fit alone. Adaptor colour will be white or black.

How dispatch and delivery works▼

Your order leaves our warehouse within 1 to 2 business days of ordering. Once Australia Post collects it, delivery time depends on where you are.

You will get a shipping notification with tracking details the moment your order is booked in. Tracking only starts updating once Australia Post physically collects the parcel, so if it shows no movement yet, sit tight. It is on its way.

If your order arrives damaged, send us a photo and your order number and we will replace it.

Hi, I’m Fraser and this is Rosie, Norman’s official stunt double. Norman is fully retired now and currently parked under an air conditioner.

Back in 2015, I started a little brand called Bark Butter® after seeing my best mate struggle with skin irritations, hot spots and sore paws. As a chef for more than twenty years, I’ve always believed that nature holds the key to wellbeing, so I began mixing away in my own kitchen to find a better way.

After a few trials and a lot of testing on Norman, I created a simple blend that changed everything. His skin healed, his paws softened, and I finally had my happy, healthy bulldog back. Soon, friends were asking for the same balm for their dogs and before long, Bark Butter® was born.

So, why the change to Barkmere®?

We’ve been around for over 10 years now, and as our range grew to include shampoos, soaps and grooming gear, we noticed something interesting: many people naturally associated the name “Bark Butter®” with just one product, our original repair balm.

We realised it was time to give the business a name that represents everything we offer, not just the balm. That’s where Barkmere® comes in.
