Everything that goes in, and everything that doesn't. Every Barkmere product is handmade in Brisbane in small batches. Nothing here needs a chemistry degree to read, because there is nothing in it that needs hiding.
Bark Butter Balm
Organic Australian beeswax, infused for thirty days with calendula, sunflower and carrot seed extract. Finished with jojoba and Vitamin E for healthy skin and a soft finish.
Essential oils are Australian Certified Organic. Beeswax ethically harvested in Australia. The same signature recipe for over ten years, and identical across every size, tins and the 75g Roll-On alike.
Soap Bar
Coconut and sunflower oils blended with calendula, sunflower and carrot seed extract, plus jojoba and Vitamin E. Vegetable based, naturally scented, no added fragrance.
To use, lather the bar in your hands or on a wash brush, apply to the coat, then rinse well.
2 in 1 Shampoo
Filtered rainwater, handmade glycerine and organic coconut oil, lightly infused with lavender and eucalyptus for a clean, calm wash.
Low foaming by design. Shake before use, apply to a wet coat, leave two to three minutes, rinse well and towel dry.
Hypo Shampoo
Filtered rainwater, handmade glycerine and organic coconut. Low scent, no perfumes and no added oils, made for sensitive and allergy prone dogs.
Used exactly like our 2 in 1 Shampoo. Shake, apply to a wet coat, leave two to three minutes, rinse well.
All Day Spritzer
Pure aqua water infused with lavender and eucalyptus. Pairs beautifully with our shampoo.
To use, shake, spray two to three times over the coat and brush in if needed. Also suitable for bedding and the car.
Lavender Spritzer
Filtered rainwater and organic Australian lavender. Gentle for sensitive pups and lighter in scent than our All Day Spritzer.
Same method. Shake, spritz over the coat, brush through for even freshness.

- Synthetic perfumes, petrochemicals, chemical detergents, preservatives
- Palm oil products, toxins, pesticides
- Imported or bleached waxes, mineral fillers
Good to know
- All products are non medicated and cosmetic in nature.
- We use only 0.5 to 1 percent essential oils in our bases.
- Tin colours may vary between white, silver and matte black. Ingredients and size never change.
- Every batch is hand poured and hand cut in Brisbane, so small variations in colour are normal.

How dispatch and delivery works▼
Your order leaves our warehouse within 1 to 2 business days of ordering. Once Australia Post collects it, delivery time depends on where you are.
You will get a shipping notification with tracking details the moment your order is booked in. Tracking only starts updating once Australia Post physically collects the parcel, so if it shows no movement yet, sit tight. It is on its way.
If your order arrives damaged, send us a photo and your order number and we will replace it.

We have shipped across Australia for over ten years, using Australia Post exclusively. Here is the best tracking advice we can give you.
Order using the same email address and mobile number registered in your Australia Post app. When they match, your order appears in the app automatically the moment it is booked in, with SMS notifications, email updates and live tracking all in one place. Nothing to search for.
Adding your mobile at checkout is optional but worth it. It lets Australia Post send you SMS tracking updates directly, so you always know where your order is without checking email.

Our shipping rates just came down▼
Good news for a change. Australia Post fuel surcharges climbed sharply through the year and we had no choice but to pass part of that on. Those surcharges have now dropped substantially, so we have moved our standard rate back down to $9.95.
We think that is how it should work. If our costs come down, yours should too. We are not going to quietly keep the difference.

From my kitchen to Barkmere.
Hi, I’m Fraser and this is Rosie, Norman’s official stunt double. Norman is fully retired now and currently parked under an air conditioner.
Back in 2015, I started a little brand called Bark Butter® after seeing my best mate struggle with skin irritations, hot spots and sore paws. As a chef for more than twenty years, I’ve always believed that nature holds the key to wellbeing, so I began mixing away in my own kitchen to find a better way.
After a few trials and a lot of testing on Norman, I created a simple blend that changed everything. His skin healed, his paws softened, and I finally had my happy, healthy bulldog back. Soon, friends were asking for the same balm for their dogs and before long, Bark Butter® was born.
So, why the change to Barkmere®?
We’ve been around for over 10 years now, and as our range grew to include shampoos, soaps and grooming gear, we noticed something interesting: many people naturally associated the name “Bark Butter®” with just one product, our original repair balm.
We realised it was time to give the business a name that represents everything we offer, not just the balm. That’s where Barkmere® comes in.
Barkmere® is now the name of the brand as a whole, representing our entire grooming range. The Bark Butter® name you know and love isn’t going anywhere, it lives on as the name of our hero product, the Bark Butter® Balm.
